Double O Community is a non profit organization that serves to educate underprivileged youth to survive and thrive in society beyond the classroom and into the real world. The curriculum will focus on financial literacy, creative arts and relationship building through mentoring. Through our programs, the youth will be empowered with invaluable tools that equip them to combat systemic hurdles which challenge their upward mobility.
Execution
Double O Community is looking to foster a positive presence through training and employment assistance. The secondary goal will be to promote financial literacy and tangible creative skills through education. Learning and practicing balancing a monthly budget, investing for the future, and generating wealth, as well as art education through photography, videography, and more creative outlets. Our program is all about developing mental disciplines that go beyond the classroom to ensure these individuals have the tools they need to survive and thrive in society. We will target 6th graders with the long term goal of mentoring them through 12th grade.
Our Team
Oliver Dillon is co-founder of Double O Community. He has over 20 years experience in leading teams across North America in both operations and transportation logistics. He’s a transformational people leader that now applies his diverse leadership experiences to mentor, reach and teach life skills to youth in underserved communities.
O’Shea Woodhouse is co-founder of Double O Community. He is a college graduate from the University of Virginia and has an extensive background in working with non-profits in the Houston area. O’Shea was formerly the Creative Media Specialist for the Houston Rockets and created digital content for an audience of 25+ million.
